Vital Options® International Announces Appointment of Creative Director

LOS ANGELES, CA--July 22, 2008--Vital Options, an international not-for-profit cancer communications and advocacy organization, announced today a major expansion of its media-focused capabilities by naming the appointment of Terry Merrill Wilcox as its first creative director. The organization produces The Group Room®, the nation's only syndicated weekly call-in cancer talk radio show.

"I have been searching for some time for that person who would help bring Vital Options into the new media and social networking age. I am very proud of our pioneering and creative accomplishments to date and want to assure that strength comes from change and in response to advancing technology and opportunity," said Vital Options CEO and founder, Selma R. Schimmel. "I am very excited to announce Terry's appointment and believe she will be instrumental in moving the organization forward."

Wilcox is a producer with more than 15 years of experience in all major aspects of the entertainment and production industries. As a Partner of Multiplicity Media and executive producer of the television series and website UnderstandingCancer.TV, she created and executive produced Understanding Cancer and the over 50 segments of oncology content focused on informing, involving and inspiring the cancer community.

With its unequaled network of experts, to its decades of literally touching people's lives, this is an extraordinary time to be involved in the essential work of Vital Options," said Wilcox.
