The Group RoomŪ Cancer Radio Talk Show Broadcasts from the 28th Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium

SAN ANTONIO, TX-Dec 8, 2005-The Group Room-the nationally syndicated radio call-in cancer talk show-will air a taped special focused on breast cancer from the 28th Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, 4-6 pm ET (1-3 pm PT). The Group Room is produced by Vital Options International and airs on Sundays on select radio stations throughout the United States and is also simulcast on XM Satellite Radio's Ask! 165 Channel, and via the Internet at www.vitaloptions.org, where past shows and multilingual feature interviews with oncology opinion leaders are also archived. The Group Room is also available by podcast

The Group Room broadcast will take place on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, 1-3pm CT, in Room 218-BC of the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, San Antonio, TX. Visitors of the conference are encouraged to attend the broadcast.

  • Adam Brufsky, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine; Interim Co-Director, Magee-Womens Breast Cancer Program of UPMC Cancer Centers; and Medical Director, Women's Cancer Center at Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center;
  • C. Kent Osborne, MD, Director, Breast Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, and Co-Chair of the 2005 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium;
  • Edith A. Perez, MD, Director of both Clinical Investigation and the Breast Cancer Program in the Division of Hematology/ Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Professor of Medicine at Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota, and member of the Mayo Clinic's Breast Cancer Steering Committee;
  • Lawrence Wickerham, MD, Associate Chairman of the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), Associate Professor of Human Oncology at the Pittsburgh Campus of the Drexel University School of Medicine.
