Media Alert: The Group Room® to Broadcast Prostate Cancer Show, Sunday, Sept. 29 (Prostate Cancer Awareness Week is Sept. 15-22)

LOS ANGELES-Sept. 10, 2002--The Group Room -- the nationally syndicated weekly radio call-in cancer talk show -- will present a special broadcast on prostate cancer, Sunday, Sept. 29, from 1-3 pm PT (4-6 pm ET). The broadcast can be heard live in Los Angeles on KLSX-97.1 FM.

The broadcast will feature leading prostate cancer experts discussing the latest in screening, diagnosis, research and treatment for prostate cancer, the most prevalent form of cancer in men and the second leading cause of male cancer death in the U.S. According to estimates from the American Cancer Society, 189,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year in the U.S., and 30,200 men will die from the disease.

Joining The Group Room's host Selma R. Schimmel--CEO and Founder of Vital Options® International TeleSupport® Cancer Network, a not-for-profit cancer communications, support and advocacy organization -- will be:
